Dr. Nicole Taylor

I have over 15 years of experience working in and managing mental health programs serving marginalized communities and groups, with a focus on destigmatizing mental health care, increasing the access & use of mental health services in Black communities, and decolonizing psychotherapy systems.

I have completed advanced training in somatic practices, yoga, mindfulness, anxiety, and trauma/traumatic processing work; all of my practices are trauma-informed. I have more than 300+ hr yoga certification hours and have focused training in therapeutic yin & restorative yoga practices. My integrative style is typically focused on understanding your behaviors, acceptance, self-compassion, and mindfulness.

 

I have worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, shelters, non-profit organizations, schools, and mental health agencies. I provide clinical supervision and yoga-psychotherapy training. I also teach Master's and Doctoral level Marriage and Family Therapy courses.

I have 20 + years of program design experience, supported by my education as a DMFT , which includes advanced clinical doctoral training with a focus on organizational assessment and development, program design, and systems management for mental healthcare and wellness organizations.
